Sellers Manual

SELLER’S MANUAL

Welcome to the ‘New Forest Craft Market’ (NFCM) Facebook group.

The aim of the group is to promote local crafters, artisans and support small businesses. There seems to be a turning tide in our mindset to discover the gems that are on our own doorsteps.

As we grow our community of sellers, and those who support our flourishing group, I hope in the near future to provide more opportunities to promote you to a wider audience and help you grow your business.

More than just a Facebook group

The New Forest Craft Market (NFCM) is there to enhance your promotional activity through the 4 main social media platforms.

  1. Facebook
  2. Instagram
  3. Twitter
  4. Pinterest
In addition to playing a supportive role to our New Forest creatives and small businesses, we enable you to put back into your community.

By working together and supporting each other we raise money for schools and charities in the New Forest area which is done via our fee structure.

We ask for a nominal £5 per quarter from Jan to March, April to June, July to Sept and Oct to Dec.

We will share on our blog where our donations have gone and how they have helped the charity/school receiving the donation.

What better way to promote and increase your presence in your community than also contributing to your community in turn.

Our Daily Themes/roundups/shares

You can take part in our regualr posts which will help to highlight yourself and other creatives.

  1. Monday - #tmeetthemaker and #topthreepicks
  2. Wednesday - #wipwednesday
  3. Friday - #themefriday
  4. Sunday - #sundayshoutout and #crafternoon
You can create your #topthreepicks, #wipwednesday #themefriday #sundayshoutout on your own pages and tag the New Forest Craft Market in them. We will select a few to share on the group highlighting you chosen items. You can also comment below our posts that we create each morning.

Things you can do to improve your presence

As well as posting on the main feed of the group, you have the option of creating an album so buyers can see a collection of your products all in one place. The steps are:

o        Under the craft market header, you have subheadings, About, Discussions, Rooms, Topic, Members and Media.

o        Click the Media option.

o        Click the + Create Album.

o        Name your album and include your stall number. To make your album easy to find use the hashtag with your stall number (e.g. Tangle Tree Creative - Stall #1).

o        Add your products to this album giving clear descriptions and details of the items you post that buyers would want to know.

        Use hashtags

o        When you post on the main feed use your stall number and hashtag on ALL your posts, this will enable buyers to search for your stall, e.g. Stall #1.

o        You can also hashtag your business name and area that you live in e.g. #Ringwood #creationstation.

Spread the word. Word of mouth marketing is priceless.
